• Alex Leporatti

    Assistant Group Property Manager

    Alex is the Assistant Group Property Manager at All3media and joined Optomen in November 2017. He manages the reception team and the IT structure. Prior to joining Optomen, Alex was the Office Manager at Betty for more than four years, previously working at Freeform Productions.

  • Arabella Newnham

    Executive Producer

    Arabella has held senior roles in both production and development at leading indies including Betty, Boundless and Talkback Thames. She has developed and produced shows for all the major broadcasters ranging from Four Rooms, The Undateables, George Clark’s Amazing Spaces and Heston’s Fantastical Food (Channel 4), through to The Young Apprentice, The week The Landlord’s Moved In, Crimewatch (BBC) and It Takes A Thief To Catch A Thief (Channel 5).

  • Ben Moore

    Head of Finance

    Ben joined Optomen in 2018 and is responsible for managing the company’s finances.

    Ben’s career in finance started in 2006 at Kingston Smith W1, a media specialist accounting firm, where he obtained his chartered accountancy qualifications.  After gaining experience in the architecture and recruitment sectors, Ben moved into the TV industry in 2012 with all3media, where he was promoted to Group Controller.

  • Demi Doyle

    Development Producer

    Demi joined Optomen in September 2016 as a development producer. As well as producing and developing original ideas Demi oversees the casting process on all developments and in pre-production.

    Demi has a passion for making programmes which have human stories at the heart of them and has worked on numerous high profile shows including Secret Life of 4 Year Olds, Gogglesprogs, Big Brother, Educating Cardiff and London, The Apprentice and Our School for CBBC.

  • Eliana Capitani

    Head of Development

    Eliana Capitani joined Optomen as a Development Executive in September 2016.

    Before joining Optomen she held development roles at a number of leading indies including Twenty Twenty Television, Mentorn Media and Studio Lambert. Her production credits include The Secret MillionaireSeven Days and The Fairy Job Mother.

  • Francesca Hobrough

    Office Coordinator

    Francesca joined Optomen in June 2015 after a career break to bring up her 2 children. She is now the face of reception for Optomen, overseeing visitors and keeping the front of house running smoothly.

  • John Taylor

    Head of Business Affairs

    Starting his career in music rights with the MCPS, John then worked in new media before moving into television with ITV in 2003.

    In seven years at ITV John worked in both Production and Network Business Affairs and then joined Objective Productions in 2010. Whilst at Objective John worked on shows including The Cube, Derren Brown, It Was Alright in the 70s and Peep Show. John joined Optomen in May 2016 as Head of Business Affairs.

  • Kat Furner

    Production Manager

    Kat joined Optomen in early 2017 to work in the Development department. She has since worked on a variety of projects such as Feral Families and James Bulger: A mother’s story.

    Before starting at Optomen Kat started her career in entertainment television, working on series including 8 out of 10 cats does countdown, Masterchef and Mary Berry Everyday.  

  • Mike Pipkin

    Editor & Graphic Designer

    Michael joined Optomen in 2003 to run their newly formed offline edit suites. Over the years he has edited for various productions including Man Made HomeEmployable Me, and What Would Be Your Miracle? and has also provided graphics for a variety of Optomen shows including Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch, Heston’s Feasts and Escape to the Wild. He also contributes graphics and editing for the Optomen development team.

  • Nick Hornby

    Joint CEO

    Nick joined Optomen in September 2016, and together with Tina Flintoff oversees the creative and commercial direction of the company, with particular emphasis on programme delivery.

    Nick previously spent two years at Blast! Films as Head of Programmes where he was responsible for the first series of The Catch and Secret Life of the Zoo as well as Exec’ing across the range of the indie’s returning factual series. He previously spent three years at Channel 4 as a Commissioning Editor in Factual Entertainment and Features. Nick started his career as a researcher in Specialist Factual, and believes that TV can make a difference.

  • Patrick Coakley

    Edit Assistant

    Prior to joining Optomen he started out at Evolutions, where he worked on shows such as The Only Way is Essex, QI, and The Graham Norton Show. Since joining Optomen he has edited the BBC Three short series How to Live When You’re Dying as well as overseeing the smooth running of all Optomen productions edited in house.

  • Samuel Burr

    Senior Development Producer

    Samuel Burr joined Optomen as a Development Producer in November 2016.

    Before joining Optomen he held development roles at RDF Television and with the BBC’s in-house documentary team. He has been named One to Watch at Edinburgh Television Festival and a Broadcast Hot Shot.

    Whilst at RDF, Sam worked across the popular factual development slate developing MAKE! Craft Britain for the BBC and producing the BAFTA nominated Channel 4 documentary series, The Secret Life of 4 and 5 Year Olds.

    During his time at Optomen Sam has been responsible for developing the Channel 4 series Genderquake and BBC Two’s Asian Adventure: The Road to Saigon.

  • Sophy Walker

    Chief Operating Officer

    Sophy is responsible for ensuring successful Production, Legal, Finance, and Facilities operations. She manages commercial negotiation, risk and fiscal management ensuring successful UK origination and international rights exploitation.

    Previously Sophy was Chief Operating Officer at award winning indie betty. As a founder member Sophy spent 13 years building and managing this successful production company, being instrumental in the selling of the company to Discovery in 2011. At betty she was responsible for Production, HR, Legal, Finance and Facilities; ensuring the successful delivery of over 300 hours of television for C4, BBC, ITV and Discovery.

    Sophy has also worked as a freelance TV and business consultant having over twenty years’ experience in independent television production.

    Sophy believes in creating a company where staff can do their best work; that training and investment in people adds value to the company. That work should be dynamic, stimulating and fun.

  • Tina Flintoff

    Joint CEO

    Tina joined Optomen as the Co-CEO in September 2016 responsible for developing new talent and creating factual, factual entertainment and features shows.

    Before that she spent 4 years as a commissioning editor at Channel 4 overseeing a range of factual entertainment shows including Gadget Man with Stephen Fry, The Hoarder Next Door16 Kids and CountingNaked AttractionWhat Happens in KavosTravel Man with Richard Ayoade and magic series Troy for E4.

     

  • Tom Clarke

    Executive Producer

    Tom’s credits span a variety of Optomen’s factual and food output and during his eight years with the company he has filmed everything from royal visits to pioneering brain surgery and has even climbed on top of the Treasury with the then Prime Minister.

    He has worked on five series with Mary Portas including Mary, Queen of Shops (featuring the infamous ‘bakery’ episode) and Mary Portas Secret Shopper for Channel 4 as well as food programmes ranging from two series of Great British Menu to Gok Cooks Chinese to Gordon Ramsay’s Ultimate Cookery Course.

    Tom recently produced the medical format What Would Be Your Miracle? for ITV with Emma Willis. He was nominated for a BAFTA for his work on the BBC TWO factual hit Hairy Bikers: Meals On Wheels.

  • Will Cross

    Head of Production

    Will first joined Optomen in 2009 to run the mammoth Market Kitchen. After a brief sojourn to Renegade Will rejoined the company as Production Executive in 2012 where he ran a diverse slate of programmes encompassing such highlights as Gordon’s Christmas Cookalong Live, Great British Menu and Employable Me. Will was appointed Optomen’s Head of Production early in 2016.

    Prior to Optomen Will earnt his Production Management stripes across a broad range of high profile programmes such as The Apprentice, Masterchef and Bo’ Selecta!
