Gary joined Optomen in 2006 as Series Producer on BBC2’s hit series Great British Menu.
Before joining Optomen Gary worked for the BBC, as producer/director on a broad range of primetime features and factual entertainment programmes for both channels including Face Value (BBC1) and Summer Holiday (BBC1). He produced and directed the populist documentary Tamzin Outhwaite Goes Wild with Dolphins (BBC1) before Series Producing on flagship series such as Holiday (BBC1), Top Gear (BBC2) and Hampton Court Flower Show (BBC2).
At Optomen Gary has worked as Executive Producer on the massively successful Ration Book Britain for Yesterday, and two series of What To Eat Now for BBC2. Gary is currently Executive Producing the 5th series of Great British Menu for BBC2.
