Pat Llwellyn

Since July 2005 Pat Llewellyn has been Managing Director of Optomen, leading the company from strength to strength creatively and commercially.

Pat joined Optomen in 1994 and produced the first series of ITV’s ratings–topping factual series "Police, Camera, Action!" She also created, directed and produced the award–winning "Two Fat Ladies" which became a worldwide hit.

In 1999 Pat became Optomen’s Head of Features and developed and produced the BAFTA and RTS award–winning series "The Naked Chef", launching the television career of Jamie Oliver. She went on to executive produce a wide range of shows including Channel 4’s BAFTA and Emmy winning "Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares", "French Leave", "The F***ing Fulfords" and BBC2’s "Two Men In A Trench".

Most recently she has executive produced "The F Word", the RTS award winning "Heston's Feast" and "Cutting Edge: The Lady And The Revamp" for Channel 4, and "Mary, Queen of Shops" and "What To Eat Now" for BBC2. In the USA Pat has executive produced "Kitchen Nightmares" for FOX, "Role Reversal" for A&E and "Tyler’s Ultimate" for The Food Network.

Before joining Optomen, Pat had worked in the independent sector for four years on a range of programmes including Channel 4’s "The Media Show", "Food File" and "Without Walls". She also developed various projects including Sophie Grigson’s first television series "Eat Your Greens". She produced her first directly commissioned series, "Talking Liberties", for Channel 4 in 1992.
